The Old Royal Naval College is a truly spectacular event space. Velvet Entertainment and Velvet Living recently put their collective creativity and expertise together to transform the Greenwich venue for the glorious wedding of one very happy couple.
Of its bountiful spaces, perhaps the most dramatic within the college is the Painted Hall. The ceremony and wedding breakfast took place underneath its magnificent ceiling. Uplighting, pinspots and a colour wash were employed to highlight the very best of this stunning setting and a discreet speaker system was put in place for the all-important speeches and a string quartet.
We gave the King William Undercroft room a sophisticated, piano bar feel for the evening reception. Guests were able to relax on our Amura ottomans and poufs that were perfectly complimented by our Coco lamps and a black mirrored bar.
The Queen Mary Undercroft featured a stage and bespoke backdrop for the night’s entertainment, with further seating areas created using our Champagne modular range, Maxwell and Berlin sofas, and grey Solo armchairs. We also ensured that the assembled guests were able to fully enjoy the music. We provided a dancefloor, bespoke dancefloor lighting and a high quality sound system for this space.
To date, one of our most phenomenal weddings!
