Velvet's spectacular showcase at Home House
Step 1: The Concept
As a listed building, Home House has gorgeous interiors and was a dream canvas for our creative team. We decided to take inspiration from one of our favourite interior decorators and designers, David Hicks, to contrast the venue’s grand interiors.
To bring a magical monochrome x botanical theme to life, we chose palms, mirrored and copper finishes and sumptuous fabrics in both our marketing material and at the event itself.
Step 2: The Planning
Pooling our industry knowledge, we collaborated with several great partners for this event, including Allouchery Perseval Champagne, Two by Two photography and of course Home House!
Using the hashtags #VELVETSHOWCASE and our staple #VELVETFAVES, guests could Instagram or Tweet us their favourite photo of the night to win two gorgeous hand-printed cushions from design partners Chloe and Annie. A big congrats to our winner, Ben from the Old Royal Naval College!
Step 3: The Event
Last but by no means least… the main event! We transformed Home House‘s three spaces: a stylish lounge set up in the Parlour; the grand space of the Eating Room, where guests danced along to acts such as the show-stopping Vintage 90s; and finally the outdoor marquee which functioned as a champagne bar and showroom for our Spring / Summer 2017 collection.
Home House provided some tasty cocktails and delicious canapés, including baked polenta gnocchi with aged parmesan & truffle oil and mini chorizo scotch eggs with saffron aioli.
Finally, a big thank you to all of our clients and partners – Home House, Collection Souk, Albert Hall Dance Floors, Allouchery Perseval Champagne, Two by Two Photography and Chloe and Annie from all of our London team – Maurits, Sam, Tim, Phoebe, Valeria and Jasmin plus the Mallorca & Cannes teams – Loek, Hannah, Matt and Olivier
